One of our trips took us to beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. I have always wanted to visit this historical coastal town. We stayed at Lake Aire RV Park and Campground in Hollywood, South Carolina. This campground is about 15 minutes from the historical district of downtown Charleston. It was a little more expensive than what we usually pay for our sites, but it is probably the best location near Charleston.

Wray fishing at campgroundThere are full hook-up/pull through sites, water/electric pull through and back in sites, tent with electric as well as primitive sites. They offer some discounts like AAA, Good Sam, Escapees, Caravan, Family Campers and RVers, active-duty military, and Charleston residents. It has many amenities like a pool, a playground for the kids, nice bathhouses, laundry facilities, and activities like bocce ball and horseshoe pits and free wireless internet! We had a very nice water view site. We even went fishing.

View from carriage rideThe City of Charleston has so many things to see and do. We took a carriage ride and toured the historical district one day and biked around the downtown another day. There are some beautiful homes to see in the historical area as well.
One of the most interesting things to see was the Charleston Tea Garden. A beautiful place that is worth the visit. More on this in another blog!
If you get a chance to visit Charleston, do so! You will enjoy the history and beautiful scenery of this historical coastal town! These are some of the pictures of places we saw during our adventures. Amazing history!
